THE CHURCH’S COMMISSION
Many students of biblical prophecy believe that the letter of Rabbi Yeshua to the Church in Philadelphia is prophetic. This particular letter is very different from the rest of the messages addressed to the other Churches of God. If we are going to painstakingly peruse and examine all the seven letters of Yeshua to the Seven Churches we will easily discover how Rabbi Yeshua loves and respects the New Jerusalem congregation more than the other remnants of the seven Churches. This is the reason why many of the members of the off-shoot Churches of God from the Worldwide Church of God preferred to think of themselves also as Philadelphians when they are, in fact, Laodiceans.
The members of the Jewish congregation whose name is The New Jerusalem or Kahal Yerushalayim HaChadasha in Hebrew are the true remnant of the Church in Philadelphia era. But that does not mean that the prophesied New Jerusalem congregation would be composed only of the remnant of the Church in Philadelphia era. It does not even mean outright that they would be saved and taken out from the Great Tribulation we are now going through. God had commissioned His true Church and His true Congregation to preach salvation unto all nations and as a result of that the members of the seven Churches shall be saved once they repent.
The possibility for many members of the remnants of the seven Churches to repent and become part of the prophesied New Jerusalem congregation is truly high and could hardly be refuted. God had given all of the believers the power to partake of the heavenly Jerusalem that would come and become part of the Kingdom of God. “On the contrary, you have come to Mount Tziyon, that is, the city of the living God, heavenly Yerushalayim; to myriads of angels in festive assembly; to a community of the firstborn whose names have been recorded in heaven; to a Judge who is God of everyone; to spirits of righteous people who have been brought to the goal; to the mediator of a new covenant, YESHUA; and to the sprinkled blood that speaks better things than that of Hevel” (Hebrew 12:22-24, CJB).
The seven Churches of God are the generations or the remnants of the true Church of God from the beginning to the end of Church history. They are the products or the end results of the works that the Churches of God from Ephesus era to the Laodiceans era had done. Church era started and ended on account of the hopeless spiritual condition of the Church of God within a Church era. Most of the Churches of God, from the New Testament Church of Ephesus era to the seventh era of the Laodiceans (members of the scattered Churches of God) had reached a phase in their spiritual development where Adonai or Yeshua could no longer dwell in their midst. Their work became an abomination in the eyes of God so God had left them in the same way that He had forsaken before the rebellious children of Israel.
The seven letters of Yeshua HaMashiach in Revelation 2 and 3 reveal to us the identities of the seven generations of the True Church of God in existence today. A Church era is simply a period or span of time in the history of the Church. When a particular era in ecclesiastical history ended, there is a remnant, a generation or a product of the Church of God that remains up to this time to whom Yeshua had addressed His message. The prophetic letter of Rabbi Yeshua given to each of the seven Churches of God is actually being directed and addressed to the remnant of that Church in this end of time.
Although the letter of Yeshua to the Church in Philadelphia has clearly pinpointed the New Jerusalem congregation or Kahal Yerushalayim Hachadasha as the true Church in Philadelphia, it could also be implying to all in the prophesied seven Churches that the New Jerusalem should be their main objective and goal.
We have been given the commission to teach all the nations on earth all the things that Rabbi Yeshua had commanded and taught to His true disciples to do. The Churches of God failed dismally in their calling and commission. God has given to the Church the task of bringing about the ingathering of the lost people of Israel but they had not done that during their respective Church era. The ingathering did not come because the leaders of the seven Churches became blind and unable to fully understand their simple commission, not to mention the true nation and religion of Yeshua HaMashiach.
The members of the true Church of God should be the priests and ministers of God for Rabbi Yeshua had appointed them to be. God had sent Yeshua ben-Yosef ve-Miryam on earth with one single objective. Rabbi Yeshua obviously defined to us His mission on earth, “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matthew 15:24, KJV). When Yeshua sent out His disciples this was his instruction on them, “Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 10:5-7, KJV).
Moreover before His ascension into heaven, the true and faithful disciples were given an awesome commission by Yeshua HaMashiach, which the believers today also inherited: “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew 28:18-20, KJV).
Apparently most of the churches on earth today have neglected to follow the complete instructions and teachings of Rabbi Yeshua. They make disciples of the nations but not for Rabbi Yeshua. They teach the nations but it is not the teachings of Rabbi Yeshua from the Holy Bible that they are preaching to them. They baptize those who believe but not in the true religion of Rabbi Yeshua—Judaism—but to the false religion of Christianity. And the people who called themselves Christian are not observing the things commanded by Rabbi Yeshua to keep and follow but only the commandments and traditions of men.
The Christian Churches have made a fool out of Yeshua HaMashiach. They cut Him off from His own people—the House of Judah—and made a Christian God out of Him. The gathering of the scattered people of Israel has not yet come as a result of this.
“Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech. Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come. Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins. They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine. Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city” (Isaiah 32:9-13, KJV).
