THE KEY OF DAVID
The Key of David in the hand of Rabbi Yeshua symbolizes the power and authority that God gave to Him. Matthew lucidly states, “Yeshua came to them and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Therefore go, and make talmidim of all nations, immersing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you” (Matthew 28:18-20, HNV).
The Key of David is the Key of the House of David and the House of David symbolizes the Kingdom of God wherein the prophesied David the servant of God will sit as the King of Israel. “And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children forever: and my servant David shall be their prince forever” (Ezekiel 37:24-25, KJV).
David the servant is being referred in these two verses prophetically alludes to the Promised Messiah of God who is popularly known as Jesus Christ all over the world. His true name is Yeshua HaMashiach. He has the authority to bring and establish on earth the Kingdom of God for the Jewish people. It will come soon and be established upon the Holy Land of Israel. Taking this truth into account we can now see that this Key of David is the mark of power and authority that comes from heaven, which will eventually bring and establish the Kingdom of the Jewish People in Eretz Yisrael (Land of Israel).
Rabbi Yeshua, as the letter to the Church in Philadelphia tells us, hold in his hand the Key of David and that prophetic Key will be given to the little Church of God in Philadelphia era. The Key of David shows when the end of this world shall occur soon in 2022. We would be witnessing the coming of a new world afterward in 2023.
That is one of the many attributes of Yeshua that has already come to the true remnant of the prophesied Church in Philadelphia. The New Jerusalem will be given power and authority over all the other remnants of the seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3. Though The New Jerusalem is a little congregation in the eyes of their former brethren, before God and Yeshua they are the greatest of all the Churches and religious congregations on earth today. Being small or little is one of the characteristics of the remnant of the Church in Philadelphia. They are a little Church with little strength compare to the other churches of God and to the other religions on earth. But in spite of that, God is going to give them the power and authority that the Key of David symbolizes.
Rabbi Yeshua emphasizes twice in our Holy Bible this fact, “Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them"” (Matthew 18:19-20, ESV).
It does not matter at all how many the number of the members of a Church might be just as long as Adonai (God) and Yeshua HaMashiach are with them. They will surely have the power and authority that emanate from the Key of David.
“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: 'The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens. "'I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name” (Revelation 3:7-8, ESV).
In the history of the Church, God through the appellations of Yeshua in His letters to the seven churches implicitly declared what He will give to the remnant of a particular Church era. When a church era ended we can quickly determine the true remnant of that era by means of the gifts that God promises secretly in the appellatives used by Rabbi Yeshua. But, of course, we can only figure that out if we can interpret most of the hidden meanings in the highly-encrypted letters of Rabbi Yeshua to the churches.
The Key of David is something that the true New Jerusalem has received as gift from God immediately when the era of Philadelphia ended in the year 2003.
Most of the bible scholars that studied well Revelation 3:7 in the past made a reference of Isaiah 22:15-25, in explaining what the Key of David is all about.
Shebna was a steward or the governor of the House of the King and he was replaced by someone that seems to prophetically symbolize Yeshua the Promised Messiah.
“Thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, Go, get thee unto this treasurer, even unto Shebna, which is over the house, and say … Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee. He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house. And I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down.
“And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah: And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open” (Isaiah 22:15-22, KJV).
The one who has the Key of David can open and none shall be able to shut what he opens; ‘and he shall shut, and none shall open.’ Though it is not stated well what will be opened or closed by the Key of David, we can safely assume that it has something to do with a door, for it is written, “I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it” (Revelation 3:8, KJV).
Many believe that this open door that Rabbi Yeshua who has the Key of David, will open for the true Church in Philadelphia is an open door for preaching the gospel of the coming Kingdom of God. But the possibility of a much better meaning and understanding of what the Key of David is really all about is attainable in this end of time. Remember always that the Key of David is meant to purportedly establish on earth the Kingdom of God, which we know now as the Solomonic Kingdom of the Jewish People.
What could be that one thing that God had given to the people of Israel that established them as the Kingdom of God on earth with God as their king?
