The Two Witnesses Profile

There is a coming wedding in the land of Israel when the Messiah returns. The English word for wedding is ‘chatuna’ and chatuna needs one bridegroom (chatan) and one Bride (challah) plus Two Witnesses (edim) to happen. It is for this reason that God the father has to unleash the two witnesses in this end of times with the mission to seek out the Bride and prepare her for the coming marriage with the Lamb.

And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God” (Revelation 19:5-9, KJV).

What the marriage supper or the wedding of the Lamb really is?

You will notice in the preceding verses that the Bride or the wife has made herself ready. The wife is dressed properly in fine linen that symbolizes the righteousness of the saints. In Hebrew, the English word ‘saints’ refers to the tsaddik or the holy ones who keep and observe the commandments of God written in the Torah of Moses. Thus, we know that the righteousness of the saints denotes their faithfulness in keeping the commandments of God written in the Torah of Moses.

We would not find any acts of righteousness upon the people, mostly Gentile people or Christians that hate and despise the Torah of Moses. In Judaism, the Jewish people that keep the Torah of Moses wear and don prayer shawls that symbolize their keeping of the Commandments or mitzvoth written in the Torah of Moses.

Therefore, the fine linen that is clean and white symbolizes the observance of the Torah of Moses by the Jewish people.

The people that would be called and invited in the Wedding Supper of the Lamb are those that are keeping the Law of Moses that contains 614 plus commandments of God. Now let us see what will happen to the Christian people or to anyone that would be able to attend the Wedding of the Lamb but is not keeping the Torah of Moses. In other words, there are people that would be able to attend the coming Wedding of the Lamb.

Let the true Son of God explains the wedding of the Lamb, as it is written in the Holy Bible. Rabbi Yeshua tells us what the wedding really is and what will truly happen at that time.

The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen” (Matthew 22:2-14, KJV).

The coming Kingdom of God is likened into a Wedding or a Marriage Feast of the Son of God. There are people that are invited but they were not interested to come. These are the Jewish people at the time of Christ, His first appearance in Judea as Yeshua the Son of God. The Jewish people that did not accept and believe in Rabbi Yeshua were not worthy, which is the reason why Jerusalem was burned.

Afterwards, the servants of God (not really good servants) called and invited as many as they can found that are not all good, many of them are bad and not knowledgeable of the true righteousness of God. Many of them would not make it into the Wedding or the Marriage of the Lamb They would be rejected later on when the Promised Messiah really comes.

Prepare for the Work of God

The Two Witnesses profiles are written well in the Holy Bible. Their profiles can be found in the Old Testament writings and the New Testament books. These writings are written by the Jewish people that keep and follow the Torah of Moses. Sometimes you would come across a statement written by Paul or Shaul who happened to be a Jewish rabbi. And just like most of the Jewish rabbis today Paul was telling the Gentile converts that they were not ‘under the law.’

Maybe you can deduce why the Jewish rabbis and Paul the Apostle are teaching that the Gentile people should not keep Torah.

The Jewish rabbis merely want to keep for all the Jewish people the blessings of God written and promise in the Torah of Moses.

However, God had promised all the people on earth that He will send the Two Witnesses to preach to all the inhabitants on earth the way to salvation.

And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth." These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth. And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire” (Revelation 11:3-6, NKJV).

There is no Christian Church on earth that has on their constituents the so-called ‘Two Witnesses.’ It is easy to discover and learn that the leadership of those Churches that are saying the Two Witnesses are with them or part of their membership are actually false teachers and false prophets. You should quickly get out of those Christian Churches fast and quick.

Many of those Christian Churches that falsely claimed they have the Two Witnesses are from the Worldwide Church of God or from the Philadelphia Church of God. They have become the Church of the Laodiceans like the Philadelphia Church of God led by Gerald Flurry, Restored Church of God led by David C. Pack, and many other Churches of God that came out from the Worldwide Church of God.

Let us now see what the Tanach is saying concerning the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11.

This comes from the book of Zechariah.

Now the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep. And he said to me, "What do you see?" So I said, "I am looking, and there is a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps. Two olive trees are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left." So I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, "What are these, my lord?" Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord" (Zechariah 4:1-5, NKJV).

The angel of the Lord is telling Zechariah the prophet the would-be appearance of the Two Witnesses in our present time.

Then I answered and said to him, "What are these two olive trees--at the right of the lampstand and at its left?" And I further answered and said to him, "What are these two olive branches that drip into the receptacles* of the two gold pipes from which the golden oil drains?"  Then he answered me and said, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord." So he said, "These are the two anointed ones, who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth" (vv. 11-14).

Verse 14 is saying that there would be Two Witnesses or two anointed ones in our present time (2020-2022) that would stand by the Lord our God.

Verse 12 is showing us that it would be the job of the Two Witnesses to feed the prophesied seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3 of the true teachings of God. The 'two witnesses' shall give spiritual understanding to the righteous members of the prophesied seven churches of God. The true knowledge and teachings of God shall not come upon the wicked members of the seven churches for they are not worthy. Take for instance, the members of the Philadelphia Church of God under the leadership of false prophet Gerald Flurry. They will not come to the true knowledge of God. They will not learn the truth from the 'two witnesses' for they have all become corrupt and evil through the false teachings of the Philadelphia Church of God.

There are many other churches of the Laodiceans whose members are not acceptable before the eyes of God. Most of these people have become anti-Semitic to the point that they utterly hated the Jewish people that keep the Torah of Moses.

Revelation 11 says, “I will give power to my two witnesses; and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, dressed in sackcloth” (verse 3, CJB). Although we know the length of time that the two witnesses will prophesy, we could not easily ascertain when the prophesied 1,260 days will start in our present time today. If that period is already running, where are the 'two witnesses' right now.

The Prototype of the Two Witnesses

The writings of the Jewish Fathers like that of the Old Testaments or the Tanach can give us a good epitome of what prophets like the Two Witnesses should be. Elijah the prophet can never be one of the Two Witnesses. But Jewish history can show us who among the prophets of God had played the role of the Two Witnesses before like what's written in Revelation 11.
