THE ELOHIM FAMILY
The Hebrew word ‘elohim’ can be likened to a collective noun in the English word like the words ‘group’ and ‘family.’ Family can aptly show us what Elohim is really all about. A family has virtually one family name, surname or last name that applies to all the members of the family.
For instance, the members of the family of Cohen in one city use the name Cohen as their surname. The father of the family would likely refer to himself as Mr. Cohen. The son of Mr. Cohen would also be known as Mr. Cohen. And the rest of the sons of Mr. Cohen, if he has more, shall also carry the family name of Cohen.
Cohen is a family.
There is a father known as Mr. Cohen and there is a son who also called himself by the name of Mr. Cohen. Mr. Cohen the Father and Mr. Cohen the Son belong to one family. It is also more likely that when you see the son, he would look more like Mr. Cohen the Father himself. The son in a family often inherits the face, the body structure and mannerism of the father.
If you are scare of Adonai Eloheinu, the God of the Old Testament, you should likewise be scared of Yeshua, the God of the New Testament. Rabbi Yeshua is a man that never gets laid for more than two thousand years now. Be afraid of the wrath of Rabbi Yeshua, when He comes back again in the land of the Jews. He will certainly destroy and wipe utterly from the face of the earth all the armies of the nations that would try to steal the city of Jerusalem from the Jews.
“Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us." Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works” (John 14:8-10, NKJV).
Anyone who sees the Son has also seen the Father for the Son looks very much like His Father. The facial semblance between the Father and the Son is typical to most of the families on earth. Mankind is created in the image and likeness of the family of God (Elohim).
Take a note how the book of Genesis relates the inherent resemblance of Seth with Adam his father. “And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth” (Genesis 5:3, NKJV). Luke also points out that Seth is the son of Adam, “the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God” (Luke 3:38, NIV).
If God is a family that is presently composed of two divine beings higher than the angelic kind, who is then, the God that had spoken to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, even talked face to face with Moses the prophet?
What if there is only one particular member of the God family that has been communicating and imparting knowledge to man since the beginning?
